Who should be on trial for the Iraq war? Is it the US who committed all the crimes or Britain who was bullied into going to war by the United States? Common sense says the US should be the ones on trail, but they will sure not do anything about addressing this issue.
So what will come out of the Iraq inquiry? Possibly how the US bullied Britain once again, that is the truth, but this would hurt relations with the US. I have nothing against the American people, it’s just the government bullies that concern me.
I do not expect anything from this, just like many others. But it’s a good sign that someone is willing to tell the truth. This does increase the credibility of the enquiry. Bush senior made a mess when he was in office, ideally he should have invaded Baghdad and completed the job in the Middle East. If there was anything worse that could be done, Bush junior surely did it. What about Tony you ask? Well, I have the cart rolling for him.
I do not expect Mr Blair to be found responsible by the inquiry. In fact they will probably find that he saved the western democracies and the oil that we use by invading Iraq. People are already being given obscure facts, the real thing though is that the 9/11 terrorist attack had nothing to do with Saddam Hussein’s Iraq regime. The inquiry has not noted this as yet and are already showing signs that they cannot handle the fact. The duty of the media is to bring out such facts, but they have failed to do it and have just repeated what has already been said. The inquiry is turning out to be just another case where the victor dictates the history.
